Our Philosophy

We at Townsville-based Northern Exposure Photography specialise in all kinds of portraits! These include portraits of individuals for work, promotion or gifts, couples, families, children and babies. Allow us to capture special celebrations, such as your engagement or pregnancy.

We like to start with a planning session. Here we talk with you to find out what you would like to achieve in your photo-shoot. We discuss the feeling you wish to convey and emotions you'd like to capture. We have a broad variety of spectacular locations to shoot in, or we can shoot against backgrounds in the studio. We can shoot in colour, black-and-white or both. We discuss what you will wear, any props you'd like to use: your dog, cat, bird, bike or car! We want you to share your ideas with us... so together we will be able to create something special for you. We find planning gives us better results...

Corporate portraits can be photographed at your office or in the studio. We can supply images on disk for your professional use on web pages, business cards, annual reports or promotional material.

Modelling portfolios can be photographed both on location and in the studio and can be a combination of full length, waist up and head shots. Digital photographs can be also provided for web sites.

We also offer special digital effects, and can combine several of your photographs into one large print or "art piece" as we like to call them. All of our photographs are digitally enhanced and we can offer selectivly coloured, toned and black-and-white prints. We can provide customised DVD-slide shows and screen savers. We offer individual or custom framed enlagements, canvas prints and many albums.
